Data Collection & Storage
Taskila is designed with a local-first architecture. All tasks, notes, attachments, and data you create are stored securely on your device's internal storage using a local database. We do not operate external servers, and we do not collect, store, or have access to your personal data or entries.
Permissions & App Features
Taskila requests specific Android permissions to provide core functionality:
- Notifications — used solely to deliver your task reminders.
- Storage / File Access — used strictly to allow you to select, view, and attach photos or files directly to your tasks. These files remain stored locally on your device.
Google Drive Backup & Sync (Pro Feature)
If you choose to use the optional Google Drive Sync feature, Taskila will request authorization to access your Google Drive using the secure drive.appdata scope.
- This permission allows Taskila to see, create, and delete only its own configuration and backup files inside an isolated, hidden folder dedicated to Taskila.
- Taskila cannot view, access, edit, or delete any other files, photos, or documents in your personal Google Drive account.
- Your backup data is transmitted directly from your device to your personal Google Drive storage. We do not collect, intercept, or share your Google account information or backup data.
User Rights & Data Deletion
Users may delete their data at any time by uninstalling the application or by clearing the app's local data via device settings. To remove data synced to Google Drive, users can manage their app permissions through their Google Account security settings or delete the hidden Taskila folder within their Google Drive.
Third-Party Access
We do not use third-party analytics, tracking networks, or advertising SDKs. Your data belongs to you.
